Last September 10, 2010, me and my husband went to the BDO car depot. This is located at No. 63-65 Howmart St. Road Baesa Quezon City. We heard that they have this BDO pre-owned Auto Fair from September 10 to 26, 2010. Pre-owned means foreclosed vehicles by BDO bank. We were considering to buy a car because there is a possibility that we have to return back the car that we are using to my father in law.
Before going there, you might want to check out the list of vehicles for sale at this site.
http://www.bdo.com.ph/assetsforsale/properties_sale_cars.asp
We had a list at hand, and went there as early as we can last September 10.
There were so many pre-owned cars of different models, brand and year at the depot. You can choose from a wide selection of Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubushi, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Chervolet, Ford, BMW. Though there were some expensive cars that we saw, like a Ford Expedition, BMW sedan, a couple of SUVs, most of them were mid level cars.
Our prospects includes the following
1. Toyota Avanza 1.5G A/T Gas, Year 2007, 49T Mileage, Scarlet Fury color, P499,000
2. Hyundai i10L GLS A/T Gas, Year 2009, 13T Mileage, Champagne Gold, P389,000
The process includes bidding at their office.
If you bid at the exact price indicated in the list and you're the first one to bid, most likely the car will be awarded to you. You can also bid lower than the indicated price but it will depend on how many interested parties there is. Cash payment will be more prioritized than loans.
The loan interest is peg at 25.65% for 24 months and 16.85% for 18 months but this rate is for the promo only. (Normally, a 24 months loan is set at 27% interest)

Jalapeno Cantina Mexicana
For our 2nd year anniversary, we tried out the Jalapeno Cantina Mexicana. The place is made of wood and the ambiance is very warm and inviting because of the yellow lighting. More importantly, though, it seemed like a relaxed, casual place designed for enjoyment of good food, drinks, and nice conversations.
This is the Jalapeno and Cheese Quesadila. We really like it because it has a nice kick to it. The spiciness is just right.
We also ordered Nacho with salsa dip and cheese dip. I think a group of friends would enjoy having these while having their beers. I really like the cheese dip, not too salty and the sour cream and jalapeno spice just gives it a bit of interesting taste.
We also tried the Grilled Chicken Mexicana. It comes with corn relish and mexican salsa. I love how the chicken was tender and tasted great even without putting sauce on it.
Damage to our pockets 510 pesos, this is exclusive of the drinks.
If your craving for Mexican food you might want try it out, it is located at the FOODSTREET Ortigas Home Depot at Julia, Vargas Pasig.
Unfortunately, it’s only open from 6pm until about 2 am.

DIY Candles for Baptism
In preparation for my son's baptism, I decorated the candles to be use as a twist to an ordinary candle.
Here's how I did it.
Materials
Candles
Cartolina
Ribbons
Scissors/Cutter
Glue
Procedure
1. Using your cartolina or specialty board, cut out star shape designs.
2. Make a slit at the center of the star using a cutter.

Yakimix @ Mall of Asia
Last week, me and my husband celebrated my 30th birthday at Yakimix in Mall of Asia. I've heard that the place is always jam-packed with people so I called earlier for a reservation. Unfortunately they don't accept reservations anymore for that day. They only reserve half of the restaurant and the rest is “first come, first served”.
It was only 10:30am when we arrived at Yakimix. We were already 10th on list. People were already waiting outside the restaurant. Yakimix is an eat all you can Asian resto. Each table has an grilling plate for cooking raw foods.
Their choices of raw meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables and other spices are all lined up on a buffet table.
But for those who doesn't like to cook or grilled their own food. They also have a variety of cooked food like yang chow rice, sweet & sour pork, mushroom with broccolli flower, beef strips with teriyaki sauce, seafood roll, marinated and deep fried squid, and shrimp tempura.
They also have this maki section. I think it is the crowd's favorite because the tray is always empty. Yakimix also has an dessert section. They have blue berry cheesecake, chocolate cake, ice cream with different toppings, fruits and many others.
All in all our experience in Yakimix Mall of Asia was good. You should try it.
